Philip Mitchell practised as a Chancery barrister and then qualified as a solicitor in 1980. Before he came to Druces & Attlee as a partner in 1992, he was with Linklaters & Paines and Clifford Chance. As a Consultant for Druces LLP in Financial Services, he has developed the firm’s capability in handling investment funds, insurance and corporate finance work. He has also written and lectured widely on these topics.
In his professional capacity he is involved in the publication of a number of legal works. He has been Consulting Editor of Butterworths Financial Services Law & Practice Encyclopedia, and General Editor of Butterworths Company Law Service until 1999. He is author of "Insider Dealing and Directors' Duties" and wrote "Tolleys Directors' Duties" published in 2007.
