We were delighted to welcome 30 delegates to a Druces LLP seminar on 13 July; ‘Commercial contracts – common areas of dispute and the importance of good drafting’.

The session took attendees through a typical commercial contract, looking at some common areas of dispute, as well as providing attendees with tips on how to prevent disputes arising.

The speakers at the seminar were Charles Spragge (Partner) and Rachel Brown (Senior Associate) from our Litigation and Dispute Resolution Team. We were also delighted to welcome a guest speaker, James Sheehan of Essex Court Chambers.

The focus of the seminar was highlighting the importance of a well drafted commercial contract for businesses.  The seminar also looked at some of the contentious issues that can arise in relation to particular clauses within commercial contracts, such as termination clauses, liquidated damages clauses, ADR clauses and jurisdiction clauses.

If you have any questions about the seminar or any of these issues please contact Charles Spragge or Rachel Brown
