Over our 200 years of continuous practice a wide variety of clients, from small businesses to multinational corporations, have sought out the strength and reliability of our services and come to value the skills and business acumen of our principals in their specialist fields.
We pride ourselves on our personal approach and ability to work with a business client through all stages of growth and change from start up to maturity and exit to market.
At the core of this professional service is our Corporate & Commercial Department and the specialist business groups within it including the financial services, employment and tax groups. These provide up to the minute advice on all aspects of business law alongside the traditional values which have given our clients confidence throughout our long history.
Although many of our clients are of long standing, we are always gaining instructions from new clients, whether acting for them on a single important transaction or in acting on an ongoing basis. We often have the pleasure of reviving contact with individuals who have left one company to join another and in dealing with their new business needs.
We value personal contacts and work hard to develop and sustain them. Much attention is paid to making our clients feel that they can lift the phone with any kind of commercial problem, big or small, and get a prompt and reliable response from people they have dealt with before and whose strengths they have come to recognise.
