Getting to know us
Initial contacts are always informal. Whether you find out about us over the Internet, from a recommendation, or because we have been told that you might be interested in our services, there is always the opportunity to meet up, exchange ideas and discuss mutual areas of interest. This can either be at our offices in the City or at your own workplace. You can come in or telephone us and discuss issues with the assurance that everything you tell us will be in strict confidence and handled straightforwardly.
Thereafter you may ask us to make a formal proposal or presentation or to quote for a particular piece of work. We will issue you with a full client care letter and our terms of business explaining exactly the basis on which we provide services and the costs involved. Our relationship with you is businesslike and practical, yet always friendly and open.
Above all, we are not here to quote law at you or recite technicalities. We know that you require a commercial approach to your problems and the benefit of our experience from other transactions. Where there are pitfalls or restrictions, you need to be aware of them. Subject to client confidentiality, we are always happy to share knowledge already gained including particulars of business or tax structures that we have devised or found useful in practice.
We can offer a variety of ways of charging, either by giving an estimate or a fixed quote for larger work or else a blended hourly rate of principals’ and assistants’ time where we know this can be effectively utilised. Our charging rates are extremely competitive with other City firms and are disclosed before we start acting.
