Julian Johnstone - Partner, Head of Litigation & Dispute Resolution

Julian is a Partner in and the head of Druces’ Litigation and Dispute Resolution team. He specialises in resolving clients’ disputes in a cost effective and commercial manner, through negotiation, mediation, adjudication, arbitration and Court proceedings. He focuses in particular on partnership, shareholder, company and LLP disputes, international arbitrations,  and property and landlord and tenant issues. He is currently working on a number of property and landlord and tenant related issues, including a site clearance of a multi-tenanted central London development property, a partnership dispute, contractual claims for professional fees, a claim for repayment of monies under a   racing car production contract and a significant professional negligence claim against a firm of consulting engineers.

Julian graduated from Pembroke College, Cambridge in 1989. He was called to the bar (Grays’ Inn) in 1993 and cross-qualified as a solicitor in March 1996. He is a Solicitor-Advocate, a member of the Property Litigation Association and the London Solicitors’ Litigation Association.  He is also CEDR qualified mediator. Julian joined Druces LLP on 16 November 2009. Julian lives in Kensal Green in London. He enjoys music, wine, golf and fishing.
