Richard Monkcom - Partner, Head of Private Client, Employment and Tax

Richard is Head of Druces’ Private Client, Tax and Employment teams. He joined Druces in September 1981 and having qualified in September 1983 became a partner at the firm in May 1985. Richard’s work focuses on commercial and private client.  He particularly specialises in taxation (especially property related taxes and Estate planning), charities and employment.

Richard is a member of the Society of Trust & Estate Practitioners, the Charity Law Association and the Employment Lawyers Association. He is recommended in Legal 500 for Charity law services.

Richard lives in Colchester with his wife and children.  He enjoys walking and country pursuits but spends a growing amount of his spare time trying to prevent Muntjac deer destroying his garden.
