Corporate Tax
We advise on a broad range of corporate transactions and the tax issues that often drive them. We work with the firm’s Financial Services Group on the regulatory aspects of transactions and have experience in such areas as corporate tax planning, double taxation, life assurance taxation, company reconstructions, joint ventures, company and business sales and acquisitions, and the efficient use of warranties and indemnities. We also work with our Private Capital Department to advise the individuals behind corporate vehicles.Personal Tax / Trusts
Our clients include both UK and offshore individuals and we regularly advise on such matters as tax planning and mitigation, the tax efficient drafting of wills, post-death reorganisation of estates and the creation, administration and breaking of both onshore and offshore settlements. We also advise high net worth individuals on arrival in and departure from the UK as well as on questions of domicile and residence.Property Taxation
The firm's Property Department acts for several institutional clients as well as a range of smaller property investors in the buying, letting and sale of high value commercial properties. In this connection we advise on VAT and Capital Gains Tax planning issues as well as on Stamp Duty Land Tax and Capital Allowances.Lease Financing and Capital Allowances
We have advised numerous businesses including companies, mutual societies and large charitable projects on the most appropriate structures and financing options available to them.
