The Office of the Public Guardian (OPG) has announced that due to an unparalleled increase in applications to register Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPAs), the registration period is currently taking 14 weeks. We therefore recommend that LPAs are registered as soon as possible so that the document is ready to be used if and when necessary.
