We advise UK and international banks and other financial institutions across the full range of matters including documentary credits, bank guarantees, performance bonds, standby letters of credit, bills of exchange and trade finance facilities and transactions more generally including bespoke security structures.

We also have very strong experience of pursuing and defending claims arising out of trade finance transactions.

 Recent work

  • We advised a large private sector Indian bank in relation to trade finance facilities in several European countries where the borrower is a major natural commodities company.
  • We advised a European bank on warehousing facilities for an international trading company
  • We advised on a trade finance facility for an international steel manufacturer and related security in several jurisdictions
