We are proud to announce that London law firm Druces’ is celebrating its 250th year in 2017.
Founded in 1767, the City-based business and private wealth law firm is proud to have served client needs for a quarter of a millennium and will be undertaking a series of initiatives to celebrate its 250th anniversary throughout 2017.
The firm is also happy to announce the launch of a new website built specifically to commemorate this special anniversary year. druces250.com is now live and features an interactive tour of the firm’s history, as well as looking ahead to a busy year of events and other initiatives. The site will keep you up to date with all that is going on to mark Druces turning 250 as the celebratory activity continues throughout 2017, as well as providing insights through a series of exclusive interviews.
Such is the extent of the firm’s history that, by the time Wellington secured victory at the Battle of Waterloo in 1815, Druces had already been in operation for almost 50 years. From the firm’s 1858 hire of Henry Attlee (father of Prime Minister Clement Attlee) after almost 100 years of existence, to the pioneering work on property investment through syndication in the 1990s and more recently a series of legal firsts from 2000 onwards, Druces has been part of the fabric of legal life in London for two and a half centuries and counting.
Alongside the anniversary celebrations, Druces will continue to expand its market presence through the provision of corporate, finance, employment, property, litigation, charities, private wealth, and tax services.
Druces’ special year kicks off with a series of seminars covering up-to-the-minute legal developments, as well as unique link ups with business entities such as the London Chamber of Commerce and London & Partners.
