How we support clients

We advise on the sale and purchase aspects of any property investment. In addition we work closely with our other specialist teams in tax, construction, finance, planning and asset management so that we can deliver a seamless, quick and positive outcome covering all aspects of any transaction.

Working with clients, Druces pioneered investment in property by syndication for private investors more than 20 years ago, enabling individuals to join syndicates for the purpose of investing in commercial property as part of a group.

We continue to represent many clients in this area in relation to the initial purchase of investment property through a nominee company, its subsequent management and eventual disposal. Investing in this way is a perfect solution for individuals who wish to invest seriously in commercial property but do not have the financial backing, experience or inclination to act alone. We work with a number of property syndicators establishing tax efficient vehicles for co-investment in commercial property.

To date we have concluded in excess of 300 private property syndicates. Our property syndicates have more recently extended to mezzanine loan syndicates, an area which is expanding. Druces has also assisted a number of its clients in converting to REIT (Real Estate Investment Trust) status.

Types of clients we support

Investing in property requires specialised advice and advisers. Druces’ Investment Team acts for a diverse client base from REITS, financial institutions, property companies, pension funds, property syndicators and high net worth individuals. Our expertise and experience covers the retail, office and industrial sectors.

Property Syndicates with Druces LLP

Druces LLP works with a number of chartered surveyors in managing joint initiatives for property syndicates aimed at private investors. These initiatives are intended to enable like minded investors to gain entry into the prime commercial property market through tax transparent and tax efficient property syndicates.

We provide the legal expertise in creating the vehicle for the syndicated investment and for the purchase and management of the target property. The result is a complete and professional package for private investors.
