Krupa Thakker

Associate

Private Wealth

Krupa joined the firm in August 2021 as an Associate in the Private Wealth department.

Krupa acts for a wide range of clients from individuals and families both domestic and international. Krupa’s breadth of private client work includes, but is not limited to, wills and estate planning, probate and estate administration, trust administration and Court of Protection work.

Krupa also has a keen focus on International Wealth and fiduciary matters assisting Robert Macro. This involves advising clients on pre-arrival planning, departure planning, pre-domicile planning and offshore trust advisory work for resident non-domiciled clients and clients planning to move to the UK. Recently, Krupa has also been involved with HMRC investigation work for clients who are UK resident non-domiciled. This involves income tax investigations, large debt management negotiations, and facilitating disclosures under the worldwide disclosure facility.

Krupa is a full member of STEP and is working towards the STEP Advanced Certificate in UK Tax for International Clients. Krupa has been nominated and shortlisted for the Tomorrow Club Award at the 2024 Magic Circle Awards.

Prior to joining Druces, Krupa worked at a regional firm, based in Richmond-upon-Thames.

She read Law at City, University of London and thereafter completed her Legal Practice course and LLM in Professional Legal Practice at the University of Law in Bloomsbury.  

Krupa lives in Surrey and enjoys travelling, trying out new restaurants, and taking spin classes.
