Tom is an Associate in the Real Estate team. He has broad experience in commercial real estate work, particularly involving development, investment and portfolio management. He has acted on transactions conducted for occupiers, landlords, housebuilders, start-ups, entrepreneurs and institutional charitable trusts.

Tom understands the commercial factors which drive real estate transactions, and clients note his pragmatic and constructive approach. His recent experiences include advising a major house builder on the implementation of their central London development scheme, involving its integration with a newly built mass transit system.

Tom has particular expertise advising strategic investors, including start-ups and established real estate funds. Recent experience includes acting on real estate acquisitions, lease re-gears, portfolio management matters including financing and disposals. He assisted a fast-growing Luxembourg based real estate fund on its acquisition of UK real estate assets, including fully let regional office estates and industrial parks.  

Working with retail, food and leisure clients, Tom has advised major retail brands and start-up food chains on their entry into new premises at new and established locations. He guided a flexible takeaway food business on its acquisition of new premises as part of its business expansion. He has experience acting for both landlords and tenants.   

Prior to joining Druces LLP, Tom previously worked for a large City firm.   

Tom lives in East London. In his spare time he enjoys running with his local running club. He also supports various charities.
