From the 1st May 2014, under the new TUPE regulations, the time period for a transferor to provide employee liability information to a transferee has increased from 14 days to 28 days before the transfer. This applies only to TUPE transfers that take place on or after 1 May 2014.

From Tuesday (6th May 2014), under the new Acas Early-Conciliation Scheme, it becomes compulsory to notify Acas of an intended tribunal claim before presenting an employment tribunal claim form (ET1). Failure to do so, will result in the automatic rejection of the claim, regardless of its merits.

Since 6th April 2014, Acas early conciliation has been optional; from this coming Tuesday it is compulsory.
