Residential Property

Druces’ Residential Property team provides a highly personal and pragmatic service to clients, covering not only our clients’ conveyancing requirements but also Taxation, Construction, Environmental, Planning and Dispute Resolution issues. We deal with all aspects of Residential Property transactions including Acquisitions, Disposals, New Builds and Short Term Lettings together with associated Tax Planning and Inheritance issues.

Leasehold Enfranchisement is a particular specialism, advising both Tenants or Landlords on lease extensions, freehold purchases or sales, both contentious and non-contentious. Our Real Estate Dispute Resolution team is experienced in dealing with the respective Court and tribunal aspects of leasehold enfranchisement.

We work alongside and have long-standing and effective relationships with agents, surveyors and financiers which enable us to provide the effective integrated service necessary to meet our clients’ expectations and requirements. With the London residential market continuing to provide a safe haven for buyers across the world, we are well placed to provide the personal partner-led service that clients demand.

Our Residential Property team acts for many overseas clients and regularly advise on the issues that arise as a result of the interplay of domicile and residence. We work closely with our Private Client team when international property matters arise as part of estate planning and probate matters. We also have dual-qualified lawyers within the team, able to advise in relation to residential property matters in France in particular.
